Principal's Message.

Dear Lockwood Families,

As we move into December, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the steady effort our students and staff have shown throughout the fall. This time of year offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and prepare for the months ahead. I continue to appreciate the partnership of our families and the commitment you show to supporting your children’s learning.

In the coming weeks, we will maintain our focus on consistent routines, meaningful learning, and fostering a calm, respectful school environment. I encourage you to reach out if you have questions or need support as we approach the midpoint of the school year.

Thank you for your continued involvement in our school community.

In partnership,

Sam Ramirez

We live in a world surrounded by constantly changing technology. Whatever path our students choose throughout their education and as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.

This is why we are excited that once again, ALL Lockwood students will have the opportunity to participate in an Hour of Code, during their Library class the week of December 8-12, 2024.

Become a Colunteer (Classroom/Field Trip)

All volunteers in Northshore are required to complete an online volunteer application to volunteer during the school year. It is also important to note that all volunteers who have completed a background check in the past will be expected to renew their volunteer application annually. If you completed a Level 2 background check in the past, you will only need to complete a Level 1 check to renew your volunteer status.

Join the Lunch Recess Volunteer Team

Our playground volunteers help make Lockwood a safe and fun place to be by helping kids in small ways like tying shoes, to bigger ways like giving gentle reminders of school policy, reporting incidents to playground staff and building social skills. This is a great way to get to know our school and Lockwood students of all ages!

We are looking for volunteers on Mondays and Fridays. Our mid week days are at capacity for recess volunteers. If interested, use the link below after you have read through Northshore School District Volunteer Orientation and completed your volunteer background check (see Become a Volunteer above).

Change in After School Plans

Any changes to your student’s normal routine must be confirmed with a written note from a parent or guardian. If a note is not possible, please call the office at 425-408-5800 by:

  • 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday

This ensures the teacher has time to make necessary arrangements.

Please do not email staff, as absences or substitutes may prevent timely communication.
