Principal's Message
Dear Lockwood Families,
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for being such dedicated partners in your child’s learning journey. Your support has made a lasting impact, and together we've helped our students grow in knowledge, confidence, and kindness.
Let’s finish the year strong—celebrating every success and continuing to foster a spirit of growth and gratitude in our school community. I’m so proud of all we’ve accomplished together!

Staff Appreciation Week
Help us celebrate Staff Appreciation Week from May 5th to May 9th. It is a time for students, parents, administrators, and our community to come together and express their appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
Parental Input Form 2025 – 2026 Class Assignment
The form is for parents who would like to provide input regarding classroom placement for the next school year. Our staff carefully considers placement options based on our understanding of your child's needs. Parents may have additional insights that help us ensure a productive year. Completion of this form is optional and parents wishing to share input should complete this online form by MAY 9, 2025. We do not accept specific teacher requests.
Students NOT Returning to LW Next Year
If your student will not be returning to Lockwood or enrolling in an NSD middle school for the 2025–26 school year, please let us know as soon as possible by completing this Google Form: https://go.nsd.org/lwwithdrawal.
Families withdrawing from the Northshore School District are expected to return all district-issued devices and accessories, including bags and chargers, before the student’s last day.

May 9th: Art Spirit Day
The next LSC Spirit Day is Friday May 9, 2025.
Students can take this in whatever creative direction sparks their interest! Here are some ways LSC thought students could participate:
- Use a t-shirt or other clothing as your canvas and wear your own art creation (of course, with parent approval).
- Dress like an artist - famous or yourself as an artist.
- Outfit inspired by a famous piece of art.
- Art supply-inspired accessories.
Bringing Toys and Recess Equipment from Home
Please help remind our Leopards to keep personal toys and play equipment, like balls at home. This is for a variety of reasons including risk of damage or loss, inequity, and potential conflict over personal items. We have lots of school equipment for everyone at recess.
Change in After School Plans
Any change to your student’s routine must be validated by a note from parent/guardian. If a note is not possible, please call the office 425.408.5800 by 3:30 pm on M/T/Th/F, and 1:30 pm on Wednesdays to ensure your student’s teacher is able to make any needed arrangements. Emailing staff is not always reliable due to absences or substitutes.
